We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Director to lead the maintenance department at our skilled nursing facility. This is not a desk-only management position. We are looking for a leader who is willing to roll up their sleeves, work alongside their team, solve problems, and ensure our building is maintained to the highest standards. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, calm under pressure, and takes pride in getting the job done right. What You'll Do Lead and supervise the maintenance department while actively participating in daily maintenance work. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems and equipment. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations. Ensure compliance with all applicable life safety, fire safety, OSHA, CMS, and state regulations. Conduct regular building inspections and proactively identify maintenance needs. Coordinate outside vendors and contractors when necessary. Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspections, and documentation. Read inspection reports, complete corrective actions, and upload required documentation into our computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Manage work orders and ensure timely completion. Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment. Support state surveys, inspections, and regulatory visits. We're Looking For Someone Who Is A hands-on leader who leads by example. Highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks. Calm, focused, and solutions-oriented during emergencies or high-pressure situations. An excellent communicator with staff, vendors, and management. Tech-savvy and comfortable using computers, tablets, and maintenance software. Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and sense of ownership. Reliable, accountable, and committed to following through on responsibilities. Able to identify problems before they become major issues. Qualifications Previous experience as a Directors position. Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, carpentry, and general building maintenance. Experience with life safety systems, fire protection systems, generators, and regulatory compliance preferred. Comfortable using Microsoft Office, email, tablets, and CMMS/work order software.
