Job Description
Duties Description The ITS - 2 Abatement supervisor is responsible for maintaining abatement schedules, including the quality of work per formed, maintenance of equipment and tools, safety and sanitary conditions in his or her area, requisitioning and maintaining adequate levels of supplies, and preparation of several reports on a daily or weekly basis. The incumbent is also responsible for the daily overseeing of incarcerated individual payroll. Minimum Qualifications Eligible for reassignment transfer or meet the following minimum qualifications for a provisional appointment. 1. You have had at least five years of experience in a manufacturing process of trade of which one year must have been directly related to the specialty for which you are applying for. 2. You must have three years supervisory experience. 3. You must be a High School graduate of have a High School Equivalency diploma issued by a recognized state educational authority or a
USAFI GED
High School certificate. Candidates for the Industries Training Supervisor 2 (Abatement Specialist) title must possess current New York State Department of Labor license as an asbestos handler and an asbestos contractor/supervisor.
Substitution:
Up to two years of related vocational technical education may be substituted for up to two years of general experience at the rate of twelve credits equal to six months. Some positions may require additional credentials or a background check to verify your identity.
