Job Summary:
Manages and troubleshoots the repair and maintenance of equipment, machinery, and the entire facility.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Leadership Team Member Duties/Responsibilities:
Train and work with the current P/T Maintenance Supervisor and Site GM to organize work activities in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective manner
Work with outside contractors for inspection, operation and maintenance of the heating, cooling and ventilation systems, building, grounds, renovations, electrical, plumbing, mechanical and other related systems
Performs general repairs such as welding, painting, patching walls, security hardware, hanging shelves, fabrication of racks, tables, workstations, etc.
Maintain stock of material, equipment, and supplies to be used for the care and maintenance of the plant and production equipment
Maintain excellent housekeeping procedures (5S) throughout the facility
Responsible for weekly and quarterly preventative maintenance in terms of documentation, entering, scheduling, identifying needs, and safety of equipment and personnel
Maintain files and documentation to support daily departmental activities in keeping with the Quality Management System
Assist as needed Tooling Department in performing various production related activities
Responsible for activities related to repairing electrical, plumbing, and mechanical malfunctions or equipment failures
Uses hand tools, power tools and precision measuring and testing instruments to repair and maintain in accordance with diagrams, operation manuals and manufacturer's specifications, machinery, and mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment.
Ensures new machines are prepared for operation following protocols and procedures and performs regular technical testing and preventative maintenance to ensure their safety and efficiency.
Performs routine building maintenance.
Member of Safety Committee
Trains new dept employees and forklift certification

Must have technical ability in a machining environment
Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
Ability to lift and move heavy objects
Must have manual dexterity and physical stamina
Must have professional oral and written communication skills
Must be Forklift Certified
Must have a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Must have excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Must have ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Must be able to manage Safety and follow Safety policies effectively
Must Possess leadership skills & acumen; must be able to always behave in a professional mature manner when interfacing with employees, management and vendors
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related spreadsheets and software.
Must be proficient willing to learn maintenance tracking system.
Must understand and follow verbal/written instructions/paperwork
Must understand machine safety and housekeeping
Education and Experience:
Performs work under minimal supervision.
Handles complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher level staff. Possesses a solid working knowledge of subject matter. Typically requires accreditation from a technical or skilled trades program with 5 years of relative work experience in MFG environment.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing, bending, lifting and walking. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
