We are seeking an accomplished Maintenance Lead -a hands‑on technical leader responsible for ensuring the reliable, safe, and efficient operation of all production and facility equipment. This role oversees the maintenance department, responds rapidly to production needs, and applies a disciplined, systematic approach to equipment maintenance. Core responsibilities include rebuilding and installing equipment, diagnosing and resolving failures, and executing preventive and routine maintenance during scheduled and unscheduled downtime. All work must be performed in strict adherence to company safety policies and regulatory requirements governing food‑manufacturing environments. Role & Responsibilities
  • Install, modify, maintain, and troubleshoot PLC‑ and PC‑based production equipment and facility control systems; provide training and guidance to maintenance staff on control systems.
  • Safely work with single‑phase and three‑phase power systems up to 480VAC.
  • Respond immediately to equipment breakdowns and restore production operations as quickly as possible.
  • Perform routine, preventive, and emergency repairs on production and facility equipment during both scheduled and unscheduled downtime.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, work orders, drawings, and schematics to perform required maintenance and repairs.
  • Maintain appropriate spare‑parts inventory to ensure reliable equipment operation and rapid emergency response; manage inventory through the department's PC‑based Maintenance Management System.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of maintenance inventory and recommend additions, deletions, or adjustments.
  • Initiate and review purchase requisitions for maintenance parts, supplies, and services.
  • Ensure department computers have required software, current licensing, and tools necessary to support installed control systems.
  • Record all routine work, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs in the Maintenance Management System.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas; comply with all company safety rules and regulatory requirements.
  • Enforce OSHA Lockout/Tagout procedures and comply with
NFPA/NEC
Arc Flash regulations.
  • Maintain effective communication with management, production, equipment manufacturers, and external service providers supporting the maintenance function.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by company management.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & SKILLS
High school diploma/GED required; equivalent experience considered. Minimum 6 years of production‑maintenance experience with strong PLC controls, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical skills; proficient with industrial hand and power tools. Knowledge of bulk pneumatic systems preferred. Welding experience (TIG, MIG, Stick) and brazing capabilities preferred. Computer‑literate with experience using MS Office Suite.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb for extended periods. Ability to lift and move items exceeding 50 lbs.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures. Must provide own tools.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
