Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and experienced School Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance, safety, and operational efficiency of our educational facilities. In this vital role, you will lead a team of skilled technicians and maintenance staff, ensuring all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems are functioning optimally. Your leadership will promote a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment that supports the educational mission and enhances student and staff experiences. Responsibilities Manage and supervise the facilities maintenance team, assigning tasks and overseeing daily operations to ensure timely completion of maintenance projects. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for mechanical systems, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and other building infrastructure using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools. Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical systems, HVAC systems, electrical wiring (including high voltage and low voltage), plumbing systems, and industrial equipment following established maintenance repair procedures. Ensure compliance with safety regulations such as OSHA standards by conducting safety inspections, maintaining safety records, and promoting a culture of safety awareness among staff. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and engineering troubleshooting guides to diagnose issues accurately. Oversee projects related to facilities upgrades or repairs, coordinating with contractors and managing timelines to minimize disruption to school activities. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and inventory using CMMS software for efficient facilities management. Requirements Proven management experience supervising facilities maintenance teams in an educational or industrial setting. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in mechanical systems repair and troubleshooting. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, electrical systems (including high voltage), HVAC system repair, plumbing system maintenance, and industrial maintenance procedures. Knowledge of safety regulations such as OSHA standards; ability to enforce safety protocols effectively. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications for reporting and documentation purposes. Experience managing facilities maintenance projects from planning through execution using project management principles. Ability to operate testing tools including voltmeters, ohmmeters, multimeters, and voltmeters for electrical diagnostics.
