591 Meetinghouse Road, Boothwyn, PA 19061 Position Summary The Shop Foreman oversees the daily operation of the shop, coordinates workflow, and ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and to established quality standards. This hands-on leadership role supports technicians, assigns work, monitors productivity, troubleshoots complex repairs, and keeps management informed of shop performance. Key Responsibilities Plan, assign, and monitor daily work for technicians and shop personnel. Prioritize jobs based on customer needs, deadlines, available labor, and parts. Provide technical guidance and assist with difficult diagnostics and repairs. Inspect completed work to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with company standards. Monitor productivity, efficiency, and job progress throughout each shift. Ensure technicians follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized shop. Coordinate with service advisors, parts personnel, management, and customers as needed. Identify training needs and coach employees to improve technical skills and performance. Maintain accurate work orders, inspection records, and other required documentation. Ensure tools, equipment, and shop facilities are properly maintained. Help control overtime, material usage, rework, and other operating costs. Address workflow issues, employee concerns, and equipment problems promptly. Support hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, and disciplinary processes when required. Perform technical or repair work as needed to keep operations moving. Follow all company policies and applicable safety and environmental regulations. Qualifications 5-8 years of relevant shop, repair, or maintenance experience. Previous lead technician, supervisor, or foreman experience preferred. Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and mechanical skills. Ability to lead employees, delegate work, and manage competing priorities. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities. Working knowledge of shop equipment, tools, and safety practices. Ability to read and interpret work orders, technical manuals, and service information. Basic computer skills and experience with shop-management software preferred. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Relevant trade licenses or certifications are preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in a shop environment for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to safely operate tools, equipment, machinery, and vehicles as required. Willingness to work around noise, fumes, dust, moving equipment, and varying temperatures. Schedule This is a full-time position. The Shop Foreman may be required to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, overtime, or on-call hours depending on operational needs. Pay:
$90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
