As we continue to grow and expand our operations, we are currently seeking a talented and experienced Facilities Operations and Logistics Manager to join our team.
Position Overview:
As the Facilities Operations and Logistics Manager you will play a vital role in our company's success by developing systems for and supporting lot operations and logistics. This is a management position as you will develop systems and SOP's as well as help train and guide other team members in implementing and executing them. You will work closely with the Lot Field Supervisor and Lead Mechanic, and report directly to the Maintenance Operations Manager. This position is responsible for coordinating all activities within the production lot and satellite facilities to ensure that the fleet, equipment, materials and personnel are organized, maintained and fully prepared to support field operations at the highest level. This position will also be responsible for OSHA compliance and safety training. We are looking for a self starter who emphasizes organization, systems, accountability and proactive coordination in support of our field operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate daily activities within the production lot and satellite facilities to ensure efficient and organized operations are taking place in a clean, safe and professional lot. Implement and enforce safety procedures and training programs. Manage company fleet, trailers and equipment through coordinated preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections and servicing. Oversee equipment and material inventory, tracking and accountability by managing and optimizing fleet management and inventory systems software (Geotab, etc.) Work with plant procurement and SS Designer to coordinate nursery facility needs, material staging and deliveries from the lot to job sites. Oversee facilities maintenance and coordinate repairs as needed. Manage relationships with external vendors (irrigation suppliers, fence companies, material suppliers, etc.) to ensure timely procurement and availability of materials and supplies. Manage and work directly with Lot Field Manager and Lead Mechanic. Organize training sessions related to equipment use, safety procedures and operational standards that will promote consistency, accountability and continuous improvement across the lot team and entire organization. Develop, refine and maintain systems to improve efficiency. Support operational scaling through improved logistics documentation and training. Contribute to long-term operational planning as well as improvement and growth initiatives.
Requirements:
Minimum of (3) years of proven experience in facilities operations, logistics or fleet management. Strong organizational and technological skills with the ability to manage multiple operational priorities. Proven experience managing equipment, vehicles, inventory and vendor relationships. Demonstrated leadership and training capabilities; Strong communication and organizational skills as well as a team oriented attitude. High attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards. Familiarity with fleet management and inventory software is a plus. Being a bilingual (English/Spanish) speaker is a plus.
