Job Summary We are seeking a skilled working lead in maintenance . The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining equipment and facilities in optimal condition to ensure smooth operations. Description/Job Summary This position is responsible for repairing and maintaining all aspects of the feed mill facility. Scheduled to work Monday - Friday from 5:00pm-5:00am, and weekends as needed. Responsible for on call duties as required and all found problems repaired before finishing shift. Responsibilities/Duties Construct, maintain and test mechanical equipment, machinery and electrical components Organized and able to multi-task. Work with team to communicate, resolve issues and plan general repairs Identify parts or machines needing new or replacement parts Utilize shop mathematics to complete assignments Interpret drawings of equipment in order to properly adjust, maintain or repair machinery Respond to requests by production area when mechanical issues with equipment have been identified Communicate with production management and personnel to diagnose problems and to determine potential mechanical problems Perform preventive maintenance Complete assigned tasks with accuracy and efficiency, in regards to time as well as resources Other duties as assigned Operate fork lifts, loaders, scissor lifts, and aerial liftsRequired Skills/Qualifications Reading, General Math and Writing Skills. Organized and able to multi-task. Basic mechanical skills and knowledge of standard and metric measurements Minimum 3 years industrial maintenance experience Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment General knowledge of welding/fabrication General knowledge of both low and high voltage electrical Ability to work overtime including, holidays, nights, and weekend shifts At least 18 years of age Legally authorized to work in the United States Willing and able to stand for several hours. Ability to work in varied indoor/outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc. with use of PPE Ability to work in elevated areas Ability to perform physical job duties including bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodations Preferred Knowledge/Skills General knowledge of boilers/steam systems General knowledge with programming technologies, such as programmable logic controllers (PLC) and variable frequency drives (VFD) General knowledge on pumps and motors Technical school preferred. High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
Physical Requirements Position is active. On the plant floor activities such as troubleshooting and re-design of existing systems are routine. May need to move equipment occasionally. May need to access files, supplies and equipment. Position requires an associate to have the ability to move throughout the complex and all facilities.
When in a plant environment:
Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces. May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db. May be exposed to all chemicals used in feed processing facility. Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
