Job Duties:
Supervise, inspect, schedule, assign, and participate in general maintenance, construction, and lock and door equipment repairs. Coordinate preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance with other supervisors. Prepare or oversee estimates for labor, materials, and resources needed for projects. Request materials and supplies and maintain accurate repair records, files, and reports. Train and supervise inmate maintenance and construction workers. Ensure work follows safety rules, regulations, and established standards. Assist with maintaining the security of assigned inmates..You'd be a GOOD fit if:

You have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

You have two years of full-time experience as a: Millwright, Detention equipment technician, Electronics worker OR you completed an applicable trade/technical school program and have one year of related experience. OR you completed applicable U.S. military technical training and have one year of related experience. You understand general maintenance procedures and mechanical equipment. You can communicate instructions clearly and coordinate work with staff, departments, officials, agencies, organizations, and the public. You can prepare and maintain accurate records and reports. You'd be a GREAT fit if:

You have experience repairing sliding door mechanisms, mechanical locks, and security-related equipment. You have experience working with detention or correctional equipment. You have experience supervising inmates or inmate work crews. You have strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. You understand how machinery operates and can identify maintenance or repair issues. You are comfortable interpreting and applying policies, procedures, rules, and regulations. You can train and supervise others while maintaining safety and security.
