RESPONSIBILITIES

Plans and schedules repair of both general and preventative maintenance jobs for fleet Makes repairs, adjustments, parts replacement, and all other aspects of servicing and maintenance required to keep fleet in a safe, efficient, and operable condition Reviews and signs all Vehicle Condition Reports (VCRs) on a daily basis Determines necessity for new parts and equipment in partnership with General Manager Determines necessity for utilization of outside vendors such as tire repair, etc. in partnership with General Manager Inspects repair work of subordinate mechanic and completes performance checks after repairs have been made Complete daily productivity logs and submit to Operations Manager on daily basis Maintain an organized filing system and keep thorough and accurate maintenance history for fleet in accordance with DOT/DPS standards Performs other related work as required

REQUIREMENTS

Must have strong knowledge of refuse truck and large diesel truck mechanics Must have strong leadership skills Must have a current drivers license (CDL is a BIG plus) Must be able to pass a drug screen Must have a good work history Must physically be able to lift, carry, push, and pull at least 50 lbs and be able to climb in, out, and around trucks repeatedly Must have scheduling flexibility Must have the adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations in a professional and efficient manner Must be a forward thinker and planner as it pertains to the maintenance of the fleet Must have a team player mentality and be willing to assist when and where needed Must have great communication skills and be able to speak, read, and write fluent
