Every product we manufacture is designed to improve the safety, profitability, and productivity of our customers' operations while supporting low-stress livestock handling and better outcomes for both producers and their livestock. As a family-owned and operated company, we're committed to building the highest quality equipment, investing in our people, and creating a business that will serve the livestock industry for generations. Key Responsibilities As part of your leadership development, you'll work alongside the Shop Foreman and leadership team to develop the skills and experience needed to successfully lead our manufacturing operation. Throughout the transition, you'll progressively take ownership of responsibilities such as: Building a culture where safety is non-negotiable and employees take pride in producing quality equipment. Leading, coaching, and developing production team members through daily support and clear communication. Coordinating daily production activities and helping prioritize workflow to meet customer commitments. Learning production planning, scheduling, material flow, and inventory coordination. Working with office staff to ensure materials are available to support production schedules. Identifying opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency through practical problem solving and lean manufacturing principles. Troubleshooting production challenges and implementing effective solutions. Responding to quality concerns and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient manufacturing environment. Learning equipment maintenance expectations and shop organization standards. Participating in interviewing, onboarding, and developing future members of the ProWay team. Preferred qualifications include:
Trade school education or equivalent industry experience. Extensive experience in a production manufacturing and metal fabrication environment. Experience with welding, sheet metal fabrication, press brake operations, and general fabrication. Previous experience leading people, serving as a lead hand, crew leader, or supervisor is preferred, but candidates with strong leadership potential will also be considered. Hands-on leadership style with a willingness to spend the majority of each day on the shop floor working alongside the team. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication prints. Experience evaluating weld quality and maintaining high workmanship standards. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
