Part-time,25 hours per week About the RoleJoin our team as a Store Backroom Attendant where you'll be the first point of contact for our generous donors. This role combines customer service, donation processing, and mission-driven work to support The Salvation Army's community programs.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide exceptional donor service by greeting donors and offering assistanceProcess and track donations accuratelyMaintain a clean and well-organized donation areaSort, load, and unload Salvation Army trucks per center policyPower sort donations as they arrive (where applicable)Support production processes as neededSafeguard all donated materials and assigned equipmentReport any complaints, damage, or injuries occurring in the donation areaGuide donors on acceptable materials and provide information about pickup services for heavy itemsWhat You'll Need to SucceedRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma or currently pursuingStrong English communication skills for donor and team interactionsBasic computer skills and ability to learn new systemsBasic math skillsAbility to pass pre-employment background checkMust be available for a flexible schedule including weekends and eveningsPhysical RequirementsAbility to regularly lift and move up to 50 poundsOccasionally lift and move up to 100 poundsStand for extended periodsWalk, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch as neededWork in various weather conditions (outdoor exposure)What Success Looks LikePositive donor feedbackClean and organized donation areaMeeting daily production goalsStrong team collaborationReliable attendance and punctualityAccurate donation tracking and receiptingThe Salvation Army is an equal opportunity employer.
