Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Millwright to join our team on day and swing shifts. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial machinery and equipment within a manufacturing environment. Your expertise will ensure optimal operation, safety, and efficiency of plant systems. This position offers an energetic work atmosphere where proactive problem-solving and technical proficiency drive continuous improvement and operational excellence. Duties Perform duties in a safe and productive manner minimizing damage to lumber product while maximizing production time.
  • Must supply own hand/power tools (appropriate for this level)
  • Meet minimum attendance requirements.
  • Must be available for callouts and overtime as needed.
  • Accept and follow instructions from the supervisor / lead.
  • Read and understand all repair / instruction manuals.
  • Read and understand schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Hydraulic Systems Maintenance and Troubleshooting
  • Pneumatic Systems Maintenance and Troubleshooting
  • Basic Machine Operation, Set-up, and repair. Pipe fitting/plumbing.
  • Electronic maintenance file. Record keeping and reporting.
  • Welding, cutting, and fabrication.
  • Basic electrical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic knowledge of industrial electrical maintenance repair and control (single and three phase)
  • Troubleshoot and repair all types of rolling stock on mill premise.
  • Utilize all rolling stock equipment i.e. skid steer, forklift, loader, etc.
  • Understand and use all appropriate test equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair all maintenance problems on the mill site.
  • Be able to understand the basic operation and location of all the machines in all departments.
  • Be able to work at some height off the ground on ladders, scaffoldings, man lifts, etc.
  • Be willing to teach and / or instruct other employees when required.
  • Pass appropriate written and practical skills and abilities test.
  • Have the desire and ability to progress to higher skill levels.
  • Lubrication and bearing maintenance.
  • Machine setup and assembly
  • Clean and maintain work area.
  • Be able to work without constant supervision.
  • Utilize safe work practices by always wearing PPE and following Lock Out Tag out policies.
  • Ability to work outside in extreme temperatures.
  • Work can be physically demanding at times and involve long hours and weekend work on occasion.
  • Must be able to read and write in English.
  • Drug free/Alcohol free facility.

Pay:
$19.00 - $25.00 per hour
