We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Facilities Maintenance & Machinist Technician to support the performance and reliability of our production facility in DeLand, Florida. This is an opportunity to apply your mechanical and machining skills in an essential role where your work will directly contribute to productivity, equipment longevity, and the success of our daily operations.

POSITION SUMMARY

As the Facilities Machine Technician, you will perform hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and machining work to keep our production and facility equipment operating safely and efficiently. You will diagnose mechanical issues, fabricate or modify machine components, assist with equipment installations, and help prevent disruptions to daily production. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys solving mechanical problems, working independently, and collaborating with maintenance and production team members. Your ability to respond quickly, produce accurate work, and identify potential equipment concerns before they cause downtime will be essential to the reliability of our operation.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production and facility equipment to ensure optimal performance Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement timely solutions to minimize downtime Fabricate, modify, and repair machine components using machining equipment Safely and effectively operate shop equipment, including lathes, mills, drills, and grinders Assist with the installation, setup, and testing of new machinery and equipment Read and interpret blueprints, measurements, and tolerances to produce accurate parts Follow all safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and company standards Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to support daily operational needs

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience as a machinist or in a mechanical or maintenance role Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Basic knowledge of hand tools and equipment operation Ability to read measurements and perform basic math calculations Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship Ability to perform the physical duties of an active, hands-on position

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in a manufacturing, printing, or direct mail environment Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices Experience operating a variety of machining and fabrication equipment
