Job Description

Job Overview:

B&J Specialty is seeking a dependable and motivated Mold Mechanic to join our team. This hands-on role is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overall upkeep of molds to ensure efficient production operations. Responsibilities include the disassembly, inspection, and reassembly of molds. No prior mold experience is required—we provide on-the-job training for candidates with strong mechanical aptitude. Key Responsibilities:

Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble molds Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on molds Identify wear or damage and communicate needed repairs Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Support production needs by ensuring molds are in proper working condition

Qualifications & Skills:

Mechanical aptitude or background preferred Willingness to learn and develop new skills through hands-on training Strong attention to detail and organization Ability to work independently and as part of a team Dependable, reliable, and self-motivated Proven experience as a Mold Mechanic or similar role within a manufacturing or injection molding environment. Strong technical skills with the ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting. Knowledge of mold components, materials, and maintenance best practices. Ability to work independently with attention to detail while adhering to safety standards. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.

Pay:

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
