Job Description

Job description: At Dealers Truck Equipment Co., LLC., our purpose of "Building Excellence Everyday" means being a caring, customer-focused team player who strives for excellence while getting the job done. As a Installer , you will serve in a vital role fabricating, fitting, and assembling the structural components of various mechanical systems. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Install new equipment by reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
  • Construct structural components from raw materials.
  • Use welding equipment to specifications.
  • Test the functionality of parts and systems.
  • Conduct quality checks of completed work to ensure that the customer's needs are met.
  • Perform routine troubleshooting on bodies and equipment.
  • Replace damaged or defective structural components as needed.
  • Keep a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work area.
  • Promote a positive team-oriented attitude with other employees and across the workplace.
Qualifications include:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Basic mechanical knowledge.
  • Basic electrical knowledge.
  • Basic hydraulic knowledge.
  • Ability to weld (MIG) and fabricate top quality products.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and work with parts and installation drawings and manuals.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of the required hand and power tools.
  • Strong attention to quality and commitment to quality.
  • Collaborate with other members of the production team to ensure that projects are completed on time / on budget.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Dedicated, driven approach and commitment to getting it right with a never-ending desire to learn, improve, and contribute.
  • Current welding and state certifications and/or preparedness to obtain additional certifications and training as needed (may require company-paid travel). Tools required after 90 days:
  • Combination wrench set for ¼" to 1"
  • Set of Allen wrenches
  • Combination wrench set for metric #9 through #22
  • Punch and chisel set
  • ¼" socket set
  • Set of vise grips
  • 3/8" socket set
  • Ball peen hammers
  • ½" socket set
  • Wire pliers (crimping and stripping)
  • Test light
  • Frame square
  • Creeper
  • Screwdriver set (flathead and Phillips)
  • Drop light
  • Pipe wrench set
  • Welding hood
  • Set of pliers
  • Toolbox
  • Set of crescent wrenches At Dealers Truck Equipment Co., LLC., we offer a fair and competitive compensation package commensurate with education/experience. Benefits offered include health insurance, vision and dental, paid holidays, and paid time off. This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM
  • 5:00 PM.
