Role:
We are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our clients, a leading North American building materials company, for a Full-Time Millwright / Maintenance professional. This role supports facility operations by maintaining, installing, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy mechanical equipment both in a shop environment and in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble, install, and align heavy industrial equipment (conveyors, gearboxes, crushers, vibrating screens, motors, etc.).
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance, involving disassembly, overhaul, and adjustments of mechanical and hydraulic components.
  • Rig and hoist heavy, complex machinery safely.
  • Utilize hand and power tools for measuring, cutting, welding, pipefitting, and fabricating structures.
  • Maintain accurate spreadsheets and written data regarding all equipment repairs and parts inventory.
  • Ensure rigorous compliance with all MSHA safety regulations, health protocols, and housekeeping standards.
Required Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent; trade school or formal apprenticeship completion highly desired.
  • 5+ years of relevant millwright experience in an industrial setting.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in welding, fabrication, machining, and pipefitting, along with strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings to execute precise work procedures.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, including weekends, as operational needs require.
Preferred Certifications:
  • NCCCO Crane Certification (swing, lattice, tower).
  • Rigging & Signalperson Certification.
  • Certified Welder (AWS D1.1 Structural Steel), Stick (SMAW), and Flux-Core (FCAW).
  • Hydraulic Systems, Precision Alignment (laser/dial), and Bearing Installation Certifications.
  • 3+ years of aggregate or bulk material industry experience.
Physical Requirements & Safety:
  • Ability to work at heights, climb scaffolding, and lift/carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Strict adherence to all safety protocols, including Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) and confined space rules.
Safety Note:
Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, is mandatory. Employees required to wear tight-fitting respirators must pass fit tests. Accommodations (such as alternative loose-fitting respirators) will be provided for qualified individuals with medical conditions or religious beliefs that conflict with standard shaving requirements.
