West Fraser is seeking a Millwright Level 1 to support safe, reliable operations at our manufacturing facility. In this role, you will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on sawmill and wood-processing equipment, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and assist with installations, alignments, and rebuilds. Responsibilities Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on sawmill and wood-processing equipment Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime Assist with installation, alignment, and commissioning of machinery and systems Inspect equipment, identify wear or potential failures, and recommend repairs Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements Maintain accurate maintenance records and report issues to supervisors Collaborate with operators, electricians, and other trades to resolve equipment problems Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives in the mill Required Skills Industrial equipment maintenance Mechanical troubleshooting Hydraulics and pneumatics Reading mechanical drawings and schematics Welding and basic fabrication Precision alignment and installation Preventative and predictive maintenance Use of hand and power tools Industrial safety procedures and LOTOBasic PLC and controls familiarity
