Milling and Packaging Superintendent Grade:
Grade III Education Req:
High School Diploma preferred; Post High-School Technical/Vocational Degree, College Degree, or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience Req:
Must have ability to follow MSHA and OSHA regulations, industry safety programs, and possess excellent communications, people, and problem-solving skills. Must be willing to take and follow orders and directions. Must be adaptable and flexible to changing tasks, schedules, and situations. Must be able to perform physical labor, including lifting and carrying of heavy objects. 5+ years of prior experience working in milling and/or manufacturing environment is desired. May be required to work nights and/or adhere to a rotating shift schedule. ______________________________________________________________________________
Nature and Scope:
With direction and supervision from the Milling and Packaging Superintendent, this hands-on individual will be responsible for operating and performing basic maintenance tasks on Raymond Mills, refractory kettles, and associated machinery and equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Operation of Raymond Mills and kettles as well as assisting with maintenance on all equipment including Raymond Mills, conveyor belts, screw conveyors, bucket elevators, bag houses/dust collectors, etc. Individual will be familiar enough with mill and equipment to troubleshoot most upset conditions and equipment problems Attend Safety Meetings and comply with all site safety and environmental policies Obtain samples and perform quality testing on ground product. Adjust mill settings as necessary to ensure product is within quality specifications Daily/Weekly equipment inspections and lubrication to ensure basic conditions are maintained (clean, tight, lubricated). Maintain proper housekeeping standards in mill area including associated equipment Digging out mills and equipment if plugged Assisting Calcine and Packaging Operators as necessary Accurate record keeping and reporting of mill settings
