•Position Summary The Repair and Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting machinery and mechanical equipment used in a production environment. This position will work with pneumatic tools, motors, conveyor systems, production machinery, boilers, and other equipment. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable using hand and power tools, and able to diagnose problems and complete repairs with moderate supervision. Repair and Maintenance Technician
•Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerform routine maintenance and repairs on production machinery and equipmentPerform routine maintenance on boilers, including replacing burners, hoses, and other componentsInstall replacement parts and reinforce or repair equipment as neededDismantle machines, equipment, and mechanical devices to access defective componentsUse hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools to safely remove and replace partsRepair machinery and equipment using hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, and other toolsUse precision measuring instruments and electrical or electronic testing devices as neededDiagnose mechanical problems and determine appropriate repairsReview blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs when troubleshooting equipmentInspect equipment for wear, damage, or potential problemsComplete assigned maintenance and repair work according to established proceduresFollow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work areaPerform other maintenance duties as assignedRepair and Maintenance Technician
•Additional QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED preferred, but not required1-2 years of relevant mechanical maintenance or repair experienceManufacturing, production, industrial, or plant maintenance experience preferredExperience with conveyors, motors, pneumatic equipment, or production machinery is a plusStrong mechanical troubleshooting skillsAbility to work with moderate supervisionAbility to follow standard operating proceduresGood communication and problem-solving skillsWillingness to learn new equipment and maintenance processesPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsAbility to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reachAbility to use hand and power tools safelyAbility to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and componentsAbility to work around machinery, moving equipment, noise, heat, and other industrial conditionsAbility to work a 12-hour shift
