Job Description

Position Overview:
Repairs, maintains, and facilitates installation of industrial machines used in manufacturing and production operations.
Responsibilities/Job Duties:
Ensures proper operation of natural gas compressors Uses hand tools, hoists, jacks, squares, rules, micrometers, plumb bobs, and power tools to assemble, install, align, and adjust machines Ensures machines perform to specifications by conducting tests; fine tunes machines Gathers and assembles parts for repairs or modifications based on blueprints Troubleshoots and repairs machines including when unexpected issues arise Support a philosophy of zero accidents by following all applicable safety procedures and maintaining equipment to operate in the safest way possible Adhere to company policy, procedures, and rules Adhere to safety requirements by wearing appropriate protective gear Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude Flexibility to work hours necessary to meet plant requirements Need minimal instructions of pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor High School Diploma or equivalent Thorough and broad understanding of a variety of equipment Excellendt organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings Ability to read and use a tape measure in US units (not metric) Ability to read and use a level Ability to use hand tools and power tools Ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment Welding knowledge such as
GMAW/MIG
hard-wire Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Thorough understanding of safety practices, guidelines, rules, and laws Vocational school or Associates degree in related field highly preferred At least two years of experience required Prefer four years of successful apprenticeship training Competency test: Interpret a GA drawing and explain how to install frame, coupling, and engine.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods standing, stretching, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling required Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Visual acuity to properly inspect and modify large and detailed portions of machinery Manual dexterity to assemble, disassemble, adjust, and relocate machines Working Conditions Subject to outdoor and plant environment with adjusting temperatures and climate
