Job Description

The USSOCOM Parachute Training and Testing Facility is a specialized military site located at Pinal Airpark in Marana, Arizona. Established around 1992, it supports elite units like Navy SEALs and Army Green Berets for advanced military free-fall (MFF) training, parachute system testing, and operational readiness Fuel System Maintenance The Fuel Distribution System Mechanic (FDSM) will perform all maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of the Deployable Fuel System (DFS) at Pinal Park, Arizona, and is responsible for scheduled preventive maintenance, unscheduled corrective repair, component replacement, and system compliance across all DFS equipment including automated tank gauging, high/low level alarms, cathodic protection, and leak detection systems. Includes all DFS system maintenance, servicing, parts, and consumables. Truck Maintenance The FDSM will perform routine preventive maintenance on fuel trucks per maintenance schedule. Scheduled maintenance includes charge air and cooler checks, oil and filter changes, battery and coolant service, meter calibration (semi-annual), and hose static pressure testing (annual).
Key position qualifications include:
Minimum 2 years documented experience maintaining fuel bulk storage and distribution systems, from ground product service stations to large bulk distribution facilities Documented supervisory experience in liquid fuels maintenance operations prior to performance start. Specialized knowledge of cathodic protection systems, leak detection systems, automated tank gauging, and high/low level alarms Working knowledge of DoD fuels management instructions and compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and local regulations governing bulk and retail fuel terminal operations Capable of inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing all fuel system components including tanks, pumps, valves, filters, monitors, and associated control systems Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazardous Materials (HazMat) endorsement — required prior to performance start and maintained current throughout period of performance Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Position of Trust Valid driver's license; able to lift minimum 50 lbs; available for weekend/holiday/after-hours support as required.
