Are you ready to take your mechanical skills to the next level at the heart of America's space coast? We're searching for an experienced Fuel Distribution System Mechanic (FDSM) to join our dedicated team in Cape Canaveral, FL. This exciting full-time opportunity offers a stable Monday-Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with occasional evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed to meet customer demands. As a FDSM, you will play a key role in supporting fuel operations by inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a variety of fuel storage tanks, pipelines, and piping systems-from ground product service stations to large bulk distribution facilities. You'll also be responsible for maintaining product pumps, filters, meters, gauges, flow control mechanisms, manifold/valve systems, and other petroleum system components. In this role, you'll quickly detect malfunctions, leaks, misalignments, and adjustment issues, keeping our systems running safely and efficiently. We offer you a chance to work on scheduled and unscheduled maintenance projects, including corrosion control and the removal, repair, and replacement of system components. Basic knowledge of automated tank gauging systems, high/low-level alarms, and cathodic protection systems is a must. You'll occasionally be on-call, ensuring we meet the needs of our customers around the clock. Minimum of six years' experience maintaining fuel distribution systems High school diploma or GED required Ability to inspect, evaluate, and maintain fuel storage tanks and pipelines Skill in troubleshooting and repairing pumps, filters, meters, valves, and related components Basic understanding of automated tank gauging and alarm systems On-call availability required as needed The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
