What You'll Be Doing:

Installation, Diagnostic and Repair

Responsible for multiple tasks involving the take down/repair of old doors/equipment, installation of new doors, operators and equipment and multiple service categories on doors, operators and associated equipment.

Prior to dispatch determine if appropriate tools and equipment are working and available. Evaluate appropriate door and service requirements for each job. Establish the needs of each job and document the full installation/services needed. Determine if added work needs to be performed and measures needed to assure approved installation of product. Documentation of the work to be performed is presented to the customer for approval and acceptance. Perform related minor work in framing, build-ins, and adjustments. Install/service garage doors using appropriate tools, hardware and equipment. Install/service Overhead Door brand and other manufactured garage door operators. Perform residential installation/service on a wide range of products, to include hinges, operators, door sections, springs, torque masters, locks, etc. Minimize call back ratio. Provide residential install/service that is expedient and well prepared, understanding the various types of doors, operators and hardware that are to be installed. Physical

Loading/unloading trucks, staging/pulling orders and other materials, installing various garage door types and supporting equipment which includes frequent bending, kneeling and lifting. Ability to work at a normal height of 9-20 feet off ladders, scissor lifts, and/or bucket lifts. Organization
Locate, check and verify the accuracy of the product being loaded from work orders on the service vehicle which includes product specifications, customer orders, sequencing routes with dispatch, piece counts, or other information as necessary.

Maintain appropriate parts inventory in the vehicle to ensure items are available for quick repair and/or installation services. Work Orders and payment are to be retained in a safe place and delivered to Overhead Door Co. of Texarkana. Maintenance/Cleanliness

What You Need To Bring To The Table:

Working knowledge of the use of hand and power tools including, but not limited to, socket sets, wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, impact driver, hand grinder, and welding/cutting rig Ability to lift 80 to 100 pounds above shoulder height, consistently, and occasionally higher weights as required, daily climbing of extension and step ladders A minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required Ability to read and clearly write in English Valid insurable driver's license Strong team skills are a MUST. Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, construction, and/or metal work experience is preferred.
