Job Description Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. This is a hybrid position that splits time between our shop floor and customer sites across the country. When you are in Belle Glade, you build machines alongside the assembly team. When a machine ships, you travel to the customer to install it, commission it, train their operators, and handle service and warranty work. You must be local to the Palm Beach County or South Florida area to serve as home base, but you should expect to be traveling the majority of the time. The ideal candidate is mechanically sharp, comfortable in front of customers, and enjoys the variety of building in the shop one week and solving problems in the field the next.
Responsibilities:
Assemble, wire, and test the FUSION channel letter machine, CNC router tables, and CO2 laser tables on the shop floor between service trips. Travel to customer locations to install, level, and commission new machines. Train customer operators on safe setup, operation, and routine maintenance. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, motion-control, and laser/spindle issues in the field. Perform service and warranty work, preventive maintenance, and retrofits at customer sites. Document service visits, parts used, and machine condition; feed field findings back to the build team. Represent the company professionally and keep customers confident in their equipment.
Qualifications:
Located within commuting distance of Belle Glade, FL (required as home base). Willingness and ability to travel the majority of the time, including overnight and multi-day trips. Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience assembling or servicing machinery, equipment, or industrial systems. Ability to read mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics. Comfort with basic electrical work, motion/motor systems, gearboxes, and precision alignment. Troubleshooting skills and a calm, customer-facing demeanor. Valid driver's license and an infraction free driving record; ability to fly as needed. Able to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet.
