About the
Role:
The Repair/Component Technician at Turbine Standard plays a critical role in ensuring the operational efficiency and safety of customer engine assets by performing detailed inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on engines and components. This position requires a thorough understanding of component functionality and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues to minimize downtime and maintain productivity. By maintaining accurate records of repairs and parts inventory, the technician supports continuous improvement initiatives and cost-effective operations. Ultimately, this role is essential in sustaining the reliability and longevity of assets, directly impacting the overall success of the organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as a technician in repair and maintenance of transportation or warehousing equipment. Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems relevant to transportation assets. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. Valid driver's license and ability to comply with safety regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical certification or associate degree in automotive technology, industrial maintenance, or a related field. Experience with computerized diagnostic tools and maintenance management systems. Familiarity with federal and state transportation safety regulations. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Previous experience in a fast-paced transportation or warehousing environment.
FAA Powerplant License Responsibilities:
Perform detailed inspections and diagnostics on aircraft engines and their components to identify faults and malfunctions. Execute timely repairs and replacements of defective parts, ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. Maintain accurate documentation of repair activities, parts usage, and equipment status to support inventory management and compliance requirements. Utilize specialized tools and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
