The ideal candidate is comfortable diagnosing and repairing vehicles while also assisting with customer communication, estimating repairs, scheduling work, and helping manage daily shop operations. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair domestic, Asian, and light-duty European vehicles. Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and major mechanical repairs. Communicate repair recommendations clearly to customers. Prepare estimates and explain repair options. Answer phones and assist walk-in customers when needed. Schedule appointments and coordinate workflow. Order and manage parts with vendors. Perform digital vehicle inspections. Assist with quality control before vehicles are delivered. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Help mentor other technicians as the shop grows. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of professional automotive repair experience preferred. ASE Certifications are a plus. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills. Excellent customer service and communication abilities. Comfortable using shop management software and digital inspections. Ability to work independently while also leading a team. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Preferred Experience Previous experience as a Lead Technician or Shop Foreman. Experience writing repair estimates and selling recommended services. Familiarity with shop management systems such as Tekmetric, Shop-Ware, Mitchell, or similar software. Experience training or mentoring technicians.
