Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Provides diagnostic evaluation and performs repairs of floor scrubbers and buffers, with a focus on floor scrubbers and propane buffers. Creates and documents work order estimates for machine repairs including utilization of Enterprise Software. Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of floor care equipment. This includes use of a digital multimeter for Amp Draw, Voltage Drop, Continuity, Voltage Load, and Parasitic Drain. Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service on floor care equipment. This includes full comprehension of wiring diagrams and trace circuitry. Complies with OSHA safety and health rules and procedures. Logs necessary documentation for refurbished floor care equipment including make, model and serial numbers. Prepares refurbished machinery for scheduled shipments. Competencies Ethical Conduct. Discretion. Problem Solving/Analysis. Technical Capacity. Attention to Details and Documentation. Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job both on customer and/or company facilities, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at the job site. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. Travel Frequent travel to customer locations on a regular basis within the daily work day and primarily local during the business day. Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Completed Mechanical/Technical training program with mechanical and electrical repairs including preventative maintenance and repairs of all shop equipment. Mechanical Background including ability to fully comprehend and use a wiring diagram and trace circuitry. Proficient in the use of every function of a digital multimeter including amp draw, voltage load, and parasitic drain. Own tools for mechanical work performed. Must keep and maintain a driver's license in good standing. Preferred Education and Experience OSHA Certification(s). 1-3 years of related experience in restoration/rebuilding floor cleaning machines, primarily scrubbers and floor buffers. Similar mechanical experience with golf carts, lawn mower or propane engines.
