Marine Technician We are seeking a reliable, hands-on individual to join our marina team at Point Lookout Marina. Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair a wide range of vessel systems with minimal supervision, including diesel/gas engines, fuel delivery, steering, cooling, bilge, and plumbing
• Perform advanced marine electrical troubleshooting and wiring (12V/24V/AC systems), including battery systems, charging circuits, shore power, and panel work
• Execute comprehensive service work: engine maintenance, cooling system service, fuel system cleaning, winterization/ de-winterization, and system commissioning
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, service manuals, and schematics to accurately troubleshoot faults
• Operate travel lift, forklifts, and yard tractors proficiently; haul, block, launch, and move vessels safely
• Lead or assist in complex haul-outs and coordinate blocking, rigging, and load positioning
• Inspect vessels and document findings with clear, professional service reports and recommendations
• Maintain and repair docks, piers, pilings, and marina infrastructure; oversee grounds upkeep
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations (spill prevention, waste handling, lockout/tagout)
• Mentor junior technicians and support training on best practices and safe equipment use
• Maintain shop organization, tool control, and preventative maintenance of yard equipment
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding diagnostics, scope of work, timelines, and cost considerations Qualifications
• HVAC/refrigeration experience, especially marine A/C systems and chillers, strongly preferred
• ABYC standards knowledge and adherence expected ; certification a plus Compensation varies with experience.
