Job Summary The controlled environments Service Technician must have knowledge of Direct Digital Controls (DDC) systems, Schneider Electric EcoStruxure preferred but not required. The technician must have experience in the service and parts replacement equipment in both metrology lab and cleanroom environments. Duties/Responsibilities
  • Servicing and part replacement equipment for air handling units, VFD, air cooled condensing units (ACCUs) and water-cooled condensing units (WCCUs), chillers, reheats, electric and hydronic humidifiers, and other mechanical system related equipment in both metrology lab and cleanroom environments.
  • Start up, service, and diagnose HVAC/mechanical systems.
  • Perform air balancing.
  • Program, check-test start, and fine tune DDC systems.
  • Service DDC systems.
  • Program, start-up, and fine tune a variety of control systems such as single loop controllers.
  • Provide online customer support via remote communications.
  • Calibrate control system sensors.
  • A basic understanding and assisting with the following: o design concepts and application of mechanical and control systems o writing sequence of operations o writing metrology lab certification protocols o certifying metrology labs
  • Ability to travel 85% of the time.
  • Other duties as assigned. Education & Experience
  • HVAC or equivalent trade school completion or ten years of experience with DDC and mechanical system service.
  • A minimum of five years DDC and mechanical system service experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of DDC and HVAC systems .
  • Self-motivated with a heighten sense of urgency and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Proficient computer skills experienced in Microsoft Office, proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook, and Procore construction software.
  • Ability to troubleshoot HVAC issues and navigate DDC control systems.
  • Customer centric and service oriented.
