1525 Apply Tool and Die Repair Technician- 1st Shift Objectives The Tool and Die Repair Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding tools, dies, molds, fixtures, and related equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production operations. Principal duties
  • Perform repairs, adjustments, and preventative maintenance on tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures to support production requirements.
  • Diagnose root causes of tooling failures or quality issues and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Disassemble, clean, rework, and reassemble dies and tooling components using precision manual machining tools.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Set up dies in presses and adjust dies during production to ensure parts meet dimensional and quality specifications.
  • Ensure all tool and die components meet dimensional tolerances and quality standards.
  • Maintain documentation of repairs, modifications, and tooling changes.
  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to support tooling improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor tooling wear and recommend design or material changes to improve performance and longevity.
  • Follow safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and company policies at all times.
  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting actions, communicating irregularities, and scheduling correction of abnormalities.
  • Other Duties as assigned Preferred Qualifications 2-5 years' previous experience in a tool and die repair environment highly desired Ability to lift up to 50lbs Ability to read blueprints and measuring equipment Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to diagnose complex issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
