Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) Technician to join our automotive repair team. In this role, you will specialize in restoring vehicle panels to their original condition without the need for repainting, using advanced techniques that preserve the vehicle's factory finish. Your expertise will help customers regain their vehicle's appearance efficiently and professionally, contributing to our reputation for quality and excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity for skilled technicians passionate about automotive restoration and precision craftsmanship. Duties Utilize specialized tools and techniques to remove dents and dings from vehicle panels without damaging the paintwork. Assess vehicle damage accurately to determine the most effective PDR approach. Perform minor auto body repairs, including sheet metal work, as needed to support dent removal processes. Use power tools, hand tools, and airless paint sprayers for surface preparation and finishing touches when necessary. Conduct vehicle inspections post-repair to ensure quality standards are met, including detailing and auto glass checks. Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols during all repair procedures. Collaborate with team members on vehicle repairs, estimates, and customer service to ensure a seamless experience. Qualifications Proven dealership experience or background in auto body repair, auto restoration, or automotive repair is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, welding (including MIG welding), soldering, and fabrication techniques. Familiarity with sheet metal work, auto painting, airless paint spraying, and auto glass installation is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with auto repair projects safely and efficiently. Knowledge of auto estimating processes and customer service principles to effectively communicate with clients. Experience with auto maintenance procedures, auto estimating software, or mechanic work is advantageous. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
