Training is provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in the telecommunication industry. This position combines warehouse responsibilities with entry-level telecommunications installation work. The employee will support the handling, installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment and support structures at customer sites. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, mechanically inclined, comfortable working outdoors, and willing to learn new skills.
Essential Functions:
Receive, organize, and store telecommunications equipment, tools, materials, and supplies. Load and unload trucks, trailers, and delivery vehicles. Maintain accurate inventory and track equipment issued to and returned. Keep the warehouse, yard, tools, vehicles, and equipment clean and organized. Inspect tools and equipment for damage and report maintenance or replacement needs. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment. Assist with shipping, receiving, deliveries, and general warehouse operations. Telecommunications Installation Assist with the construction, installation, maintenance, replacement, and repair of telecommunications equipment at customer sites. Learn and perform basic installation techniques involving ground kits, cables, connectors, weatherproofing, antennas, hardware, and other site components. Use hand tools, power tools, and industry-specific test equipment. Read, comprehend, and accurately follow written and verbal instructions. Learn to read customer blueprints and Radio Frequency Data Sheets (RFDS) and execute the scope of work according to customer specifications. Learn and retain physical and mechanical installation specifications. Assist experienced installers and technicians with job-site activities while progressing toward working with limited supervision. Maintain proper care and use of personal protective equipment (PPE), tools, and equipment. Follow all company, customer, and job-site safety requirements. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. High-energy attitude with a strong willingness to work and learn. Previous warehouse, construction, telecommunications, or mechanical experience is a plus, but training will be provided. Must be able to read, comprehend, and accurately follow instructions. Basic computer proficiency, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools preferred. Must maintain a clean and insurable driving record. Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and other nonstandard hours when required. Must be willing and able to travel overnight for extended periods, up to approximately 40% of the time. Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check. Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding position. Employees must be in good physical condition and able to: Stand, walk, bend, twist, squat, push, pull, lift, and carry up to 75 pounds regularly throughout the shift. Repeatedly climb ladders and pull their own body weight plus equipment up ladders or onto rooftops. Perform repetitive physical movements for extended periods, including approximately 6-8 hours per day when required. Push and pull materials and equipment throughout the workday. Work at elevated heights, on rooftops, and in remote locations. Work in confined spaces and on irregular or slippery surfaces. Drive or ride for extended periods, including on and off-road, and tow a trailer when required. Work in extreme weather conditions, including severe heat, cold, rain, wind, and direct sunlight. Work around dirt, noise, fiberglass, mechanical and electrical equipment, wiring, underground spaces, and other job-site hazards.
