Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Low Voltage Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of low-voltage systems, including telecommunications, security, data networking, and audiovisual systems. Responsibilities Install and configure low-voltage systems such as CCTV, fiber optic networks, structured cabling (Cat5, Cat6), VoIP telephony, Ethernet networks, Cisco routers, and radio frequency (RF) testing equipment Troubleshoot and repair telecommunications systems, network wiring, equipment failures, and fiber optic systems using diagnostic tools and industry-standard procedures Conduct fiber splicing and fiber optic systems installation to ensure high-quality data transmission performance Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and network documentation to facilitate accurate system setup and maintenance Perform cable termination, structured cabling installation, and network wiring for commercial or industrial sites with precision and adherence to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards Test telecommunications systems using specialized testing equipment to verify proper operation and compliance with industry standards Provide field service support by diagnosing issues on-site and implementing effective solutions promptly while maintaining excellent customer service relationships Skills Extensive experience with CCTV system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting Strong knowledge of fiber splicing techniques and fiber optic system setup Proficiency in computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN configuration, Ethernet cabling (Cat5/Cat6), Cisco routers, VoIP systems, and network installation practices Ability to read schematics accurately and utilize diagnostic tools effectively for equipment troubleshooting Familiarity with telecommunication testing equipment such as ohmmeters and other electrical measurement devices Skilled in the installation of structured cabling systems for voice, data, video, and security applications Experience working with AC/DC electrical systems and low-voltage electrical wiring standards in accordance with NEC guidelines Competence in using hand tools for cable termination, equipment mounting, and system adjustments Knowledge of radio frequency (RF) testing methods for wireless communication systems Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service while managing multiple field service projects efficiently Strong technical proficiency in telecommunication systems including telephony setup and network wiring solutions Ability to interpret technical schematics accurately to facilitate proper system installation or repair Join us if you're passionate about advancing your career in telecommunications technology!
