We are seeking a full-time Field Service Technician to join our team in Pecos, Texas . This position operates on a 10-days-on / 10-days-off rotational schedule , providing an excellent work-life balance. During your scheduled work rotation, on-site accommodations are provided . This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who enjoys working in the field, troubleshooting equipment, and delivering exceptional service in a dynamic environment. Reporting to the Field Superintendent, the Field Service Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing our equipment while delivering first-class customer service. The expectations for fast and professional service will be the highest, as you will be the face-to-face representative and contact with our customers in the field. The ideal candidate will have a variety of maintenance and repair skills related to buildings, ranging from carpentry (no certification required) to basic plumbing and electrical work. They will also have excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work within a team and independently. Previous camp/modular building maintenance and repair experience is a strong asset. Duties & Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and repairs on our rental fleet - includes surface rental and accommodation equipment both in our yard and on customer sites, including:
Set up and tear down camps, well sites, and sleepers
Plumbing repairs
Heating and HVAC repairs
Electrical repairs
Carpentry repairs
Finishing work
Satellite wiring and setup
Oil changes and servicing of Generators and other mechanical equipment
Operating heavy Equipment In the yard
Track all tools assigned to the company truck; track rental equipment using computer programs
Ensure the truck assigned is clean and in working order
Complete appropriate paperwork related to assigned work
Document and upload all safety work
Follow all Black Diamond's policies and procedures, including safety policies
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Other duties as required Qualifications
Certified in H2S, Standard First Aid, & Fall Arrest is considered a strong asset
HVAC Experience is considered a strong asset
Self-motivated and high attention to detail
Must have a valid driver's license and be able to provide a satisfactory driver abstract
Must be able to pass pre-employment and site access drug tests when required
Previous camp/modular building maintenance experience and technical ability to carry out work orders
Mechanical Skills are an asset
Knowledge of and capability to complete tasks relating to general painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, heating systems, and site maintenance
Ability to stay on-site for shift; camp accommodations provided
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices
An ability to communicate professionally with clients, staff, and management Working Conditions
Working inside and outside in all weather conditions
Frequent travel to customer sites Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Must be able to complete physically demanding duties, including but not limited to standing for long periods, repetitive movement, and lifting
