Service Position Summary Golf Car Superstore is looking for a dependable, motivated, and mechanically skilled Golf Cart Service Technician to join our service department. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and customizing golf carts and low-speed electric vehicles. The ideal candidate has experience working with golf carts, automotive, small engines, electrical systems, or similar mechanical equipment. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and can work independently while maintaining a high level of customer service. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair electric and gas-powered golf carts. Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and tune-ups. Troubleshoot electrical systems, wiring, charging systems, motors, controllers, and batteries. Install and service lithium and AGM battery systems. Diagnose and repair brake, steering, suspension, and drivetrain components. Install accessories and aftermarket products, including: Lift kits Wheels and tires Lights Audio systems Mirrors Windshields Seats and upholstery Rear seats and safety equipment Other golf cart accessories Perform warranty repairs and document completed work accurately. Inspect carts before and after service to ensure repairs have been completed properly. Identify additional maintenance or repair needs and communicate them to the Service Manager. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Properly use and maintain company tools and equipment. Assist with loading and unloading golf carts when necessary. Maintain accurate service records and parts usage. Follow company safety procedures and manufacturer service guidelines. Provide professional and courteous service to customers when discussing repairs or maintenance. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required:

Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems. Ability to use basic hand and power tools. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to lift, move, and work around golf carts and related equipment. Strong attention to detail. Positive attitude and good communication skills.

Preferred:

Previous golf cart service or repair experience. Automotive, powersports, small engine, or electrical experience. Experience with lithium battery systems. Experience with golf cart brands such as ICON, Denago, Club Car, EZGO, Yamaha, Columbia, or similar. Experience installing golf cart accessories and aftermarket upgrades. Basic computer skills for service documentation and parts lookup. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach, and work in various positions for extended periods. Ability to lift and move parts and equipment. Ability to safely operate shop equipment and tools. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to safely move golf carts around the shop and property.
