In this energetic role, you will utilize your technical expertise to troubleshoot, service, and repair marine docsk, electrical systems, mechanical components. Your hands-on skills will ensure our facility operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on marine docks, cranes, tow carts, electrical systems, mechanical components to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose electrical issues using schematics, multimeters (including ohmmeters), and other diagnostic tools; execute repairs with precision. Interpret technical drawings and schematics to accurately assemble, disassemble, and troubleshoot complex marine systems. Utilize hand tools, power tools, soldering irons, carpentry tool to complete repairs and fabrication tasks. Conduct rigging operations and fabricate parts using sheet metal or other materials as needed for system upgrades or repairs. Follow safety protocols by properly using personal protective equipment (PPE) during all maintenance activities to ensure a safe working environment. Collaborate with team members to perform water transportation equipment maintenance, including marine dock repair and marina electrical systems maintenance. Assist with the installation of new systems or components by interpreting technical instructions and performing assembly tasks efficiently. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly about repair status and maintenance needs to clients or team members. Requirements Proven service technician experience with a strong background in marine mechanics or related fields such as diesel mechanics or vehicle maintenance. Knowledge of marine electrical systems troubleshooting, ship electrical systems maintenance, and marine propulsion systems maintenance. Experience reading schematics, technical drawings, and interpreting engineering troubleshooting guides. Mechanical knowledge including marine engine repair, mechanical systems repair, sheet metal fabrication, welding, soldering, and heavy lifting techniques. Familiarity with water transportation equipment maintenance practices and safety standards related to personal protective equipment (PPE) use. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, calipers, ohmmeters, welding equipment, and fabrication tools required for complex repairs. Ability to perform precise measurements using various instruments; comfortable working with assembly processes in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent customer service abilities; proactive approach to diagnosing issues quickly and efficiently. Military experience or certifications in relevant technical fields are a plus but not required; a commitment to ongoing learning is essential.
