As a key player in our service operation, you will utilize your mechanical skills and technical knowledge to deliver top-tier service to our valued clients. Your hands-on experience and attention to detail will help keep marine operations running smoothly and safely. Duties Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on marine engines, propulsion systems, electrical components, and vessel systems using schematics and technical manuals. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, calipers, and precision measuring instruments to execute repairs with accuracy. Conduct rigging tasks including lifting, securing loads, and assembly of mechanical parts or systems on vessels. Interpret schematics and electrical diagrams to troubleshoot complex electrical issues; use ohmmeters and other testing devices for precise diagnostics. Fabricate sheet metal components or custom parts as needed for repairs or upgrades; perform welding and fabrication tasks adhering to safety standards. Assist with vessel assembly, disassembly, and maintenance procedures; support heavy lifting operations with proper rigging techniques. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly, offering maintenance advice, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the service process. Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports; ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards. Skills Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in marine or vehicle maintenance. Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical troubleshooting, schematics interpretation, and fabrication techniques. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, calipers, ohmmeters, and other precision measuring instruments. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to rigging protocols; experience with sheet metal work is a plus. Strong understanding of marine systems including engines, electrical wiring, propulsion units, and vessel rigging. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to read technical diagrams accurately. Experience working in military environments or with military-grade equipment is advantageous but not required. Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and client satisfaction.
