The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in equipment repair and maintenance, with a focus on small engines. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring optimal performance of various small engine equipment. The Small Engine Technician will also provide excellent customer service, assisting clients with their equipment needs and ensuring satisfaction. Duties Diagnose and repair small engines, including lawn mowers, generators, and other outdoor power equipment. Perform routine maintenance on various types of machinery to ensure longevity and efficiency. Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively. Conduct equipment repairs involving welding as necessary. Assist customers in understanding their equipment needs and provide recommendations for repairs or upgrades. Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency. Collaborate with team members to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction. Engage in heavy lifting as required during the repair process. Experience Proven experience as a mechanic or technician specializing in small engine repair is preferred. Familiarity with hydraulic and belt driven equipment is a plus. Strong skills in generator repair and electrical issues are desirable. Experience in customer service to effectively communicate with clients regarding their equipment needs. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills. Knowledge of sales techniques related to equipment repair services is beneficial.
