Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Marine Boat Mechanic, where you will be at the forefront of maintaining and repairing water transportation equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient vessel operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of marine engines, electrical systems, and mechanical components, applying your expertise to keep our fleet in top condition. Your hands-on skills and attention to detail will directly contribute to the safety and performance of marine vessels used in water transportation. Duties Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on marine engines, propulsion systems, and mechanical components using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams to diagnose electrical and mechanical issues accurately. Conduct electrical diagnostics and troubleshoot marine electrical systems, including ship electrical systems maintenance and marine electrical systems troubleshooting. Use soldering techniques, sheet metal work, calipers, ohmmeters, and other specialized tools to repair or replace damaged parts. Assist with rigging tasks and assembly of mechanical systems on vessels while adhering to safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) use standards. Perform heavy lifting tasks safely during maintenance operations involving water transportation equipment. Document all maintenance activities thoroughly and communicate effectively with team members regarding repairs or system issues. Qualifications Proven service technician experience with a strong background in marine mechanics or vehicle maintenance. Knowledge of schematics, technical drawings, and interpreting complex wiring diagrams. Experience working with marine propulsion systems, ship electrical systems maintenance, and diesel mechanics is highly desirable. Familiarity with electrical diagnostics, soldering, sheet metal work, and the use of precision measuring instruments such as calipers and ohmmeters. Hands-on experience with mechanical systems repair including engine overhaul, water transportation equipment maintenance, and assembly tasks. Strong understanding of engineering troubleshooting methods combined with practical skills in using power tools and hand tools safely. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining high standards of safety compliance. Experience working in military environments or with military-grade equipment is a plus but not required. Excellent customer service skills for interacting professionally with team members and stakeholders. We are willing to train!
