  • Mid/Upper-Level Marine Mechanic Wanted.
  • Boat/Vessel/Mechanical Experience is a MUST.
  • Certifications & Documented Training is a plus but not required. Should be a team player and eager to learn.
  • Should have experience in electrical diagnostic assessments (12v & 120, DC/AC)
  • Should be familiar with multiple engine brands and be able to perform 100/300 hr services with confidence.
  • Job consists of Engine Services, Diagnostics, Wiring including pump replacement/battery installations, ect.
Regular maintenance inspections. Should have brand specific and troubleshooting knowledge. Tuesday thru Saturday 38-40 hrs per week. Will be hired as an Employee of Ballistic Marine Management @ Port 32 Tierra Verde Marina. Pay range is based on prior experience. Must have basic tools and transportation. Duties Perform comprehensive maintenance, repair, and diagnostics on marine engines, propulsion systems, and mechanical components using schematics and technical drawings. Troubleshoot electrical systems, including ship electrical systems maintenance, marine electrical troubleshooting, and electrical diagnostics, utilizing multimeters such as ohmmeters. Conduct rigging operations and assembly of marine equipment, ensuring all components meet safety standards and operational specifications. Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, precision measuring instruments, soldering equipment, sheet metal tools, and heavy lifting techniques to execute repairs efficiently. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to identify issues accurately; perform ship electrical systems troubleshooting and mechanical systems repair. Maintain water transportation equipment by inspecting, servicing, and repairing marine engines (diesel mechanics), propulsion systems, and other critical machinery. Adhere to safety protocols by utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) during all maintenance activities; support maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) initiatives to optimize vessel readiness. Skills Proven service technician experience with marine or vehicle maintenance; strong mechanical knowledge complemented by electrical expertise. Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering troubleshooting guides effectively. Experience with marine engine repair, marine propulsion systems maintenance, and ship electrical systems maintenance. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, calipers, soldering equipment, ohmmeters, and other precision measuring instruments. Knowledge of rigging techniques and assembly procedures for water transportation equipment. Familiarity with military standards or experience in military environments is a plus; demonstrates excellent customer service skills. Strong diagnostic skills in electrical systems troubleshooting combined with mechanical aptitude for complex repairs. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during routine inspections or repairs. Experience working with maintenance, repair & operations (MRO) practices within the maritime industry or related fields.
Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
