Job Description

Job Overview We are on the lookout for a skilled and motivated Small Engine Mechanic, that has a minimum of 2 years experience, to join our service team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of small engines and equipment, ensuring they operate efficiently and reliably. Whether you're working on Chainsaws, trimmers, or other hand held power equipment, your mechanical expertise will keep our customers' equipment running smoothly. The ideal candidate is passionate about mechanical systems, enjoys troubleshooting complex issues, and has a knack for delivering excellent customer service. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair small engines and equipment, including lawnmowers, chainsaws, generators, and other power tools. Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, spark plug replacements, and belt adjustments to keep equipment in top shape. Read schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues effectively. Use hand tools, power tools, and soldering techniques to repair or modify machinery as needed. Conduct electrical diagnostics on engines and equipment to identify faults in wiring or electrical components. Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of equipment during repairs or installations while following safety protocols. Maintain detailed service records, communicate repair status with customers clearly, and provide recommendations for ongoing maintenance. Qualifications Prior experience working in a dealership or service shop specializing in small engines is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing small engines. Proficiency with schematics, electrical diagnostics, and troubleshooting diverse mechanical systems. Experience using hand tools, power tools, and performing equipment maintenance tasks. Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks regularly.
