Lindy's Sales is a family owned dealership located 10 Miles East of Bay City on M-25 in Quanicassee. We started with snowmobiles and mini bikes in a garage in 1970 and have grown and expanded to a full service marine dealership, that also sells Yamaha ATVs and Side by Sides. We have an opening for a marine and ATV mechanic. If you are a hard worker who wants a career as a service technician, Lindy's is interested in hearing from you! Responsibilities and Duties Perform diagnostics and repair of marine engines, as well as ATVs and snowmobiles. This position requires lifting, frequent bending, reaching and standing for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally lift up to 80 pounds, as well as the ability to work in extreme weather at certain times of the year. Performing work on boats and ATVs, both service and rigging as needed. Handle multiple work orders and utilize computer systems to document work that has been performed. Service, diagnose, and repair outboards, I/O's, and inboards. Troubleshoot, repair and install electrical accessories in boats including bilge pumps, charging systems, and steering systems. Work with the Lindy's Team to perform all tasks needed to run the business. During slow periods this can include yard and building maintenance, inventory stocking, etc. Qualifications and Skills This is a full-time position, with potential for overtime in the summer and fall Required education: High school diploma or equivalent Required experience:

Mechanic:

2 years Required license or certification: Must have valid Michigan Driver's License and a clean driving record and dependable transportation Have a general understanding of the Diagnostic Process, Two Stroke and Four Stroke Theory, Electrical Diagnostics, and general shop processes A very strong attention to quality work and detail Be able to work independently or with a team Be able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments You must be able to pass a pre-employment physical by a doctor of Lindy's choosing. Be willing to advance your career by attending manufacturer's training schools to sharpen your skills. These require travel out of state, with all expenses as well as your salary paid by the dealership. Benefits This position is full-time, year round with competitive compensation.
