In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining small engines and equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Your expertise will help customers get the most out of their outdoor power equipment, ensuring safety, reliability, and efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of machinery, utilize your mechanical skills, and deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Duties Diagnose issues with small engines, including lawnmowers, chainsaws, trimmers, and other outdoor power equipment using schematics and electrical diagnostics tools. Perform repairs on small engines, diesel engines, and associated mechanical systems with precision and attention to detail. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, spark plug replacements, air filter cleaning, and belt adjustments to keep equipment running smoothly. Troubleshoot electrical systems and perform electrical work including soldering and wiring repairs to resolve complex issues. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and power generation systems to repair or rebuild machinery efficiently. Follow safety protocols during manual handling of heavy equipment or parts requiring heavy lifting. Maintain detailed service records, update repair logs, and communicate clearly with customers about repair status and recommendations. Qualifications Proven dealership experience or service technician experience working with small engines or similar machinery. Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including engine repair, electrical diagnostics, and equipment troubleshooting. Familiarity with schematics, electrical work, welding, soldering, and power tools is essential. Experience in diesel engine repair and automotive repair is a plus. Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques and manual handling safety procedures. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards. Certifications related to small engine maintenance or mechanic experience are preferred but not required.
