About the role BCB Marina Group operates three full-service marinas on Lake Texoma — Grandpappy Point, Little Mineral, and Mill Creek — with over 1,000 wet slips and a growing service department. We're hiring an experienced marine technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain customer vessels across gas and diesel propulsion, drive systems, and onboard systems. This is hands-on work on a mix of runabouts, cruisers, houseboats, pontoons, and sailboats. You'll work out of our service facility and on the docks. What you'll do Diagnose and repair inboard, outboard, and sterndrive powerplants — gas and diesel Service and rebuild drives, transmissions, outdrives, and running gear: bellows, gimbal bearings, u-joints, props, shafts, struts, rudders Troubleshoot AC/DC electrical systems, shore power, batteries, charging systems, and generators Service onboard systems: fuel, cooling, exhaust, steering, trim/tilt, hydraulics, bilge, potable water, sanitation, HVAC Run computerized diagnostics on Mercury, Yamaha, Volvo Penta, and comparable platforms Perform winterization, commissioning, and scheduled maintenance Document findings, parts used, and labor accurately on every work order Coordinate with the Parts Manager on ordering and availability Communicate clearly with customers about condition, options, and cost What you need 3+ years marine technician experience, or comparable heavy automotive/diesel/powersports experience with demonstrated marine aptitude Strong electrical and mechanical diagnostic ability — able to work from wiring diagrams and service manuals Own hand tools Valid driver's license and clean driving record Comfortable working on and around the water; able to lift 50+ lbs, work in confined engine spaces, and handle Texas summer heat Ability to operate vessels for sea trials Preferred Factory certifications (Mercury, Yamaha, Volvo Penta, Suzuki, Yanmar, Westerbeke, ABYC) Fiberglass, gelcoat, or rigging experience Trailering and launch/haul-out experience What we offer Certification and factory training paid by BCB Year-round work across three marinas — not a seasonal position A service department being rebuilt with real investment behind it
Pay:
$18.00 - $23.00 per hour
