Description Maintenance � Tire Technician� Coopersville, MI | CORE48� CORE48 �is seeking a� Maintenance � Tire Technician �to help keep commercial and passenger vehicles operating safely and efficiently. This hands-on position is responsible for inspecting, repairing, installing, maintaining, and servicing tires while supporting overall fleet reliability and safety.� What You'll Do Inspect tires and casings for holes, tears, defects, wear, damage, and proper inflation� Service tires on Class 8 tractors and trailers� Mount, dismount, balance, repair, and rotate commercial truck tires� Identify proper tire size and ply based on vehicle specifications� Identify and repair punctures in tubeless tires� Inflate tires to proper air pressure according to product information and industry standards� Safely operate tire service equipment, jacks, torque tools, air systems, balancing machines, and hand/power tools� Remove and install vehicle wheels� Monitor tread depth to ensure DOT requirements are met� Maintain tire inventory and accurate service records� Report tire conditions to supervisors� Keep the work area clean and organized� Work with the maintenance team to support proper tire alignment and fleet reliability� �
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent� Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record� Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and participate in the company's random drug and alcohol program� Willingness to learn and work as part of a team� Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality� Ability to read and understand technical service manuals� Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed� Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in varying environmental conditions�
Preferred:
Entry-level mechanical knowledge and experience.�
Physical Requirements:
� This is a physically demanding, hands-on position requiring frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, twisting, and maneuvering into hard-to-reach areas.� Must be able to lift objects up to 50 lbs. overhead and carry or move objects up to 75 lbs.�
Work Environment :
Work is performed in shop, office, light industrial, and outdoor environments with exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, fumes, dust, odors, oil, grease, and gases. Safety-conscious work practices are required at all times.� Apply Today�
