This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for a technician with real hands-on experience who can perform tire services and light automotive/mechanical repairs with limited supervision. Tire Service Responsibilities Mount, dismount, install, balance, rotate, plug, and patch passenger vehicle tires Work with low-profile, run-flat, and larger-diameter tires Service SUVs, pickup trucks, cargo vans, box trucks, and other commercial vehicles Change and service 17.5, 19.5, 22.5" and 24.5" commercial/semi-truck tires Perform mobile and 24/7 emergency roadside tire service Safely jack, lift, secure, and service passenger and commercial vehicles Inspect tires for abnormal wear, punctures, sidewall damage, and other safety concerns Properly use tire machines, wheel balancers, jacks, impact tools, torque equipment, and other tire-service equipment Alignment & Mechanical Responsibilities Technicians must also have experience performing automotive repair and maintenance, including: Wheel alignments Diagnosing alignment and tire-wear concerns Brake pad and rotor replacement Suspension component replacement Struts and shocks Control arms Ball joints Inner and outer tie rods Sway bar links and related steering/suspension components Batteries and other light mechanical repairs Basic vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance Identifying additional brake, suspension, steering, and tire-related safety concerns Technicians should be comfortable inspecting a vehicle and accurately identifying problems rather than simply replacing parts. Required Experience Applicants should have professional hands-on experience in tire service and automotive repair.
Experience should include:
Passenger vehicle tires Tire mounting and balancing Wheel alignments Brakes Steering and suspension repairs General light mechanical work Commercial/semi-truck tire and roadside service experience is strongly preferred and may qualify you for higher starting pay. Requirements Previous professional tire and automotive repair experience Valid driver's license Dependable transportation Ability to safely perform physically demanding tire and mechanical work Ability to work independently Ability to properly diagnose basic tire, brake, steering, suspension, and alignment concerns Dependable, punctual, and professional Comfortable performing mobile roadside service Availability for nights, weekends, and emergency calls when scheduled. Work in any weather condition.
