Tire Technician

Job Description

The Tire Technician is responsible for performing tire-related services on customer and dealership vehicles, including tire installation, balancing, rotation, repair, wheel alignments, and tire inspections. Additional duties can include other service related items such as wiper blades, oil changes, filter changes, and more. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and exceptional customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of tire maintenance and wheel alignment procedures while maintaining productivity and efficiency standards within a dealership environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Mount and dismount tires on passenger vehicles, light trucks, SUVs, and commercial vehicles as needed. Perform tire balancing using computerized balancing equipment. Inspect tires for wear, damage, and proper tread depth. Repair tires according to industry safety standards and manufacturer guidelines. Rotate tires according to manufacturer recommendations. Install and service Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) components. Ensure proper tire inflation and reset TPMS systems after service. Qualifications Previous tire service experience preferred. Ability to perform tire mounting, balancing, rotations, and repairs. Knowledge of wheel alignment procedures and equipment. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and stand for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong understanding of tire wear patterns and diagnostics. Ability to identify suspension and steering concerns affecting tire performance. Proficiency with computerized alignment and balancing equipment. Excellent time management and productivity skills. Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
