Region $110,000-$140,000 + Overtime + Vehicle/Tools + Relocation Assistance Are you an experienced Tower Crane Technician looking for a long-term opportunity where you can significantly increase your earnings through overtime and ultimately progress into a leadership position? We are representing a long-established structural concrete contractor seeking a Tower Crane Technician to support its tower crane operations throughout the Washington DC / Mid-Atlantic region. Working predominantly with Terex Peiner and Potain tower cranes, you will take responsibility for preventative maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting and repairs, while also supporting erection, dismantling and climbing operations. As a Tower Crane Technician, you will: Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain and repair tower cranes. Diagnose electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults. Complete scheduled preventative maintenance and inspections. Respond to breakdowns and emergency repair requirements. Assist with crane erection, dismantling and climbing operations. Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics. Maintain accurate service and inspection records. Ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with OSHA requirements. Travel between construction sites throughout the region.
You will ideally have:
Tower crane maintenance or technician experience. Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting capabilities. Experience diagnosing hydraulic systems. Knowledge of Ohm's Law and electrical systems. Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics. Crane-industry and OSHA safety knowledge. Strong computer and systems technology skills. Valid driver's license. Ability to work safely at height. A strong commitment to reliability, safety and quality workmanship.
