In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting small cell towers and related equipment to ensure seamless 5G, 4G/LTE, and other wireless network services. Responsibilities Install, assemble, and maintain small cell towers, antennas, and associated telecommunications equipment following blueprint specifications and industry standards. Conduct radio frequency (RF) testing to verify signal quality and optimize network performance for 3G, 4G/LTE, and 5G systems. Perform fiber splicing and cabling to establish reliable high-speed data connections essential for modern wireless networks. Use hand tools, voltmeters, bucket trucks, bucket operation equipment, and telecommunications testing gear to execute field service tasks efficiently. Rigging and climbing tower structures safely using telecommunications fall protection gear while adhering to OSHA safety standards and federal construction safety regulations. Execute high-angle rescue operations when necessary, demonstrating safety protocol adherence during outdoor work at heights. Follow blueprint specifications meticulously during installation projects while ensuring compliance with construction fall protection systems. Troubleshoot technical issues related to low voltage, high voltage, and telecommunication systems to maintain optimal network operation. Document all work activities accurately through detailed reports and logs for quality assurance and regulatory compliance. Experience Proven experience working as a cell tower technician or in a similar outdoor telecommunications field service role. Strong knowledge of telecommunication installation practices including antenna tower climbing, cabling, RF testing, fiber splicing, and tower climbing safety procedures. Familiarity with telecommunication testing equipment such as voltmeters, RF analyzers, and other diagnostic tools. Construction experience with an understanding of blueprint reading and implementation of OSHA safety standards is highly preferred. Ability to operate bucket trucks safely for elevated work tasks while following construction safety protocols. Experience with high-angle rescue operations or working at heights is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex RF or cabling issues efficiently. Demonstrated commitment to safety protocol adherence in outdoor environments involving high-voltage systems and rigging operations. Proficient in Line Sweep testing (Return Loss, VSWR, Distance-to-Fault) using tools like the Anritsu Site Master. Proficient in PIM (Passive Intermodulation) testing and troubleshooting using tools like Kaelus or similar external analyzers. Join us in shaping the future of wireless connectivity!
